“The Bombing of Dresden was a military bombing by the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) and as part of the Allied forces between 13 February and 15 February 1945 in the Second World War. In four raids, altogether 3,600 planes, of which 1,300 were heavy bombers, dropped as many as 650,000 incendiaries, together with 8,000 lb. high-explosive bombs and hundreds of 4,000-pounders, all resulting in the deaths of some 25,000 civilians. In all more than 3,900 tons of high-explosive bombs and incendiary devices were dropped on the city, the Baroque capital of the German state of Saxony. The resulting firestorm destroyed 15 square miles (39 square kilometres) of the city centre.” Wikipedia.
Men had all been conscripted into the Nazis so the towns were full of women, children and old people.
Their crime was that they had a mad leader.
Let’s remember them too while we are getting bleary-eyed about our brave heros killing Poor People in Afghanistan.
